Dierks Bentley and friends join in concert to raise money for the Children's Hospital

What could be better than spending a crisp October afternoon cruising through Nashville on a motorcycle and then jamming out at a concert headed by some of country's most famous stars, including Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and John Rich? How about if the event benefited a good cause?

According to his Web site, Dierks Bentley will host the third annual "Miles and Music for Kids" on Oct. 5, to benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. However, unlike years past, Bentley will be joined by fellow country stars Tim McGraw and John Rich. The event will kick off with a motorcycle ride through Williamson County, which begins at 2 p.m., and will be followed by the concert at Riverfront Park from 4:30 — 7 p.m.

As reported by the Children's Hospital, last year the event raised $100,000 for the hospital and drew roughly 2,700 riders.

Tickets for the 2008 concert went on sale Aug. 22 and can be bought online starting at $20.
